FAQ's

What is dermatoglyphics?

Dermatoglyphics is the science of fingerprint and toe print.

How old is this science of Dermatoglyphs?

Scientific study of fingerprints has started in year 1650. Word Dermatoglyphs was coined in year 1926 by Dr Harold Cummins & Midlo.

What is the relationship between Finger Prints and the Human brain?

In the earlier days, American doctors discovered a strange case where a baby is born without brain the disease was coined by name “anencephaly”. In anencephaly, many times with absence of brain even the fingerprints were missing. Cases like this had been repeated throughout history. In the gestation period fingerprints and brain development happens simultaneously during week 14 to week 21, leading medical experts to believe that the brain is absolutely linked to the fingerprints.

Will we know what disease we will get through this test?

No, dermatoglyphics does not determine the health of a person.

What is Dermatoglyphics & Multiple Intelligence Test or D&MIE?

D&MIE is test done through a special patented fingerprint scanner to determine one’s character, inborn strengths and learning styles.

Is D&MIE fortune telling?

No. D&MIE has years of research based on an individual’s DNA, brain function, and fingerprints. Fingerprint does not change and is permanent. On the other hand, palm ridges change over time.
Palmistry or Chiromancy is the divination of the future through the interpretation of lines of the palms whereas Dermatoglyphs is the science of comparing analysing and classifying the patterns of the skin grains and ridges of each person's fingerprint. Reading palm is fortune telling.

Do we need a medical approval for the test?

Medical approval is not required. D&MIE is non-invasive and the patented fingerprint scanner is not a medical device.

How reliable is this science?

Since years many scientists and medical doctors have used genetics, embryology, Dermatoglyphs, anthropology and anatomy as basis to observe, analyze, validate and conclude the result of Dermatoglyphs. It has been most advanced and useful tool to understand the potential functioning of brain lobes. As fingerprints are unalterable and are never influenced by environment, behaviors, companies & moods, the reliability of the fingerprint analysis remain on top.

Where is D&MIE available?

D&MIE is offered in many countries. In India it is available from the registered office and the offices of its registered and authorized partners (Click here for list of partners).

Who can avail of D&MIE?

In general, any person with at least 10 fingers, not surgically attached at the fingertips may take the test.

How long is the D&MIE procedure?

Fingerprint scanning is done in 15 to 20 minutes. We take a 30 prints per person (thrice each finger).

When will I get the results?

The actual fingerprint analysis is done by our trained Dermatoglyphcists and the evaluation is done by our trained Psychologists/partners & associates using special copyrighted software. You will get your IBMIM D&MIE report within 2 to 3 working days from scanning. Each D&MIE report is unique, similar to the fingerprint of each individual.

How is Dermatoglyphs Analysis in comparison to conventional methods?

Conventional Testing uses questionnaire format where most of the time answers can be influenced by the emotional and mental state, wherein Dermatoglyphs Analysis is unaffected by such parameters hence offering most vivid results.

What do the evaluations measure?

  • Behavior pattern based on DISC profiling
  • Percentile distribution of Innate Intellect
  • Left & Right Brain potential
  • School Board selection
  • Stream selection after std. 10th
  • Career stream selection
  • 8 Multiple Intelligences
  • Brain Input styles
  • Brain Balance
  • Brain Abilities
  • Preferred learning styles i.e. Visual, Auditory & Kinesthetic (VAK)
  • Different Quotients (AQ, IQ, CQ, EQ)
  • For more details, visit ‘Evaluation’ in ’Knowledge Section’

Do you initiate any follow-up action?

Yes, after the initial counseling with the client, we also take advance appointments for remedial therapies as required. This action needs to be initiated by the parent of the child or the person concerned.

Who have already availed of D&MIE?

While we cannot disclose the names of our clients, the profile is varied and broad ranging from two years old to senior citizens. Pre-schoolers, students, parents, employers, employees, psychologists, guidance counselor, married couples and individuals who did not know the right career path are some of our satisfied client. Some have posted their testimonial in our website, including some of leading doctors, psychologists and parents.

What are the benefits of D&MIE?

As we always say, the earlier you identify your talents, the more time and money you save, the more successful you will be. Our clients have marked improvements in their relationships, such as those between teachers and students, parents and children, managers and employees, husband and their wife.

For the teachers, it helped them teach their students better by knowing the correct teaching method, increasing classroom efficiency. For the managers, it helped them understand the strengths and weaknesses of their employees and to exploit these to increase profits. For husbands, it helped them understand women better and lessening marital disagreements.

Is there any Reference material to authenticate the analysis?

There are over 750 research papers available on internet talking about references to Dermatoglyphs and Dermatoglyphs analysis. Apart from that thousands of satisfied clients are there to authenticate the analysis. Reference book for detailed study on Dermatoglyphs:
FINGER PRINTS, PALMS AND SOLES
An Introduction to Dermatoglyphs

Do Family Members Have Similar Fingerprints?

It is possible for family members to have similar fingerprints. This is due to our genetic codes. However, there are at least three variables to consider in the study of this discipline. The first is the intensity of the inherited gene. When the genetic code of both parents is considered, the question of dominant and recessive genes (Mendel's Laws) comes into play. In addition, a fingerprint trait or characteristic from a distant ancestor can descend to the current generation. Fingerprints are one of the many by-products of the human evolutionary cycle.

The second variable is the Dermal Papillae, the nerve endings located between the dermas and the epidermis (skin layers). The papillae control the course of flow of the ridges and make solid the outer surface of the skin. When a permanent scar on the skin or fingerprints exists, it is because the dermal papillae have been affected.

The third variable is tension and pressure to the fingers during the fetal development stage. During this stage of development, each digit or finger is within its own enclosure. Consequently, the tension and pressure that a given digit is subject to can never be the same for another. This is because the digits do not reside within the same location in space.

In short, family fingerprints can be similar because of genetics but will be unique because of the variables.
